Scary Scuffed Games #345

Super cool! The aesthetic is fun and eerie, would love to see an expanded version of the game!

I love the atmosphere and premise! My only complaint is that the runes are very hard to notice if you don't know what you're looking for. But the game was great! I look foreward to seeing more from you.

i know this is a ten minute game but like im so fucking stupid i literally spent like half an hour to kno what tye hell am i doing epic game though i lvoe it love the concept its so good but im literally so stupid tahnk you game dev so cool so epic

MAN THIS IS MY CUP OF TEA, MORE GAMES LIKE THIS PLEASE

need more like this. so short but expand on the world would be good with more tools and artefact studying

Super short but hella scary. Im scared and I love IIIIIIIIIT!!! Thank u for making such a great game!!!

This game is something super unusual! I've never played something like this before. And the atmosphere is very mysterious and intimidating. I recommend it to everyone!

The game includes a manuscript that is presented as part of Hungarian mythology. In reality, it is a page from the Perso-Arabic text Kitab Al-Buhan (Book of Wonders), not a Hungarian source. I am deeply concerned that the game appropriates Quranic, Islamic, Arabic, and Persian history, presenting it as Hungarian without any citations, references, or acknowledgements. This omission perpetuates a harmful narrative of cultural erasure and white supremacy, especially in the current political climate. I am more than willing to discuss this further if you would like to reach out.

Hey! Thanks for the feedback.  That particular illustration i have already planned to replace in the upcoming update, which will fix some of its shortcomings, hopefully.

damn dude is not that deep, literally if u open the Ördög article in wikipedia they use a similar picture.

I love how people's genuine mistakes give SOME PEOPLE the opportunity to go "Erm actually" And then slap "white supremacist" on as an insult. This is why we dont take shit on the internet seriously. Anyway I wrote Gyatt in the runes.

I really need an extended version. I was in awe, the horror + archeological themes fit very very well and its incredibly original. Plzzz I need to know more about this little evil guy...

I enjoyed this so much is so eerie without the needs of jumpscares

I made a gameplay with texts in spanish:

Hi! We played your game on stream and really enjoyed it!

Perfect job!!!!

Tried out your game!

I love it. You need to do more games like this ·_·

IT WAS SUPER GOOD. I consider this a point n click type game and very amazing even though it was short. I felt like a genius every time i solved a puzzle. Can't wait for what else you put out.

PLEASE MAKE A FULL GAME!

Absolutely loved it, definitely need more games like this!

The concept of this is exciting! It gives me vague safety hotline vibes, but instead of phone calls with descriptions and an index of anomalies, you have the literal item in your hands. Having multiple items to decipher and research could make this a delightful full-length game.

I look forward to your continued work even if this is as far as this one goes.

Woah, this looks gnarly as hell

Great Game!!! it taught me about iron lol

7.1/10 - Short but interesting archaeological game, (10 mins), I enjoyed this game but was also left slightly dissapointed with the ending. The reasons for enjoying this was due to the atmosphere, simple but fun puzzle mechanics, the history (you learn about history which is connected to this item), stop motion visuals and the whole premise of the game.

It's an experience that you're better off trying out yourself instead of trying to find out what exactly it's about as it's short and it presents a great idea that I suggest you don't spoil yourself with.

*Light Spoilers Below*

I do think the ending is slightly unsettling but also disappointing due to how abrupt it is, so don't expect a very fleshed out ending. I do think the game would've been more exciting and benefited from the end being drawn out even by a few more minutes as it feels like right as you feel the game become tense, it ends.

Hey thanks for the review, yeah I also feel that the ending is rushed. I am working on an update that will hopefully improve it a bit.

Amazing atmosphere

I honestly really like games where you have to learn something to get new info great game!

Really cool short experience! I love the style so much and I look forward to any updates should you make any! I appreciated how the game didn't really hold your hand and make each step super easy to figure out as it made the process feel more rewarding!

it doesn't let me play on linux :(((

Hi! Can you describe what is happening? It just doesnt start? Any error messages?

Hii, so it straight up doesn't start. When I click to open the game, it seems to load for a few seconds but then nothing happens, not even an error message

HELP! I inspected the artefact, but when I left the table to get my food, it was gone when I came back! Just when I thought I lost it, it showed up again but in a different room! It seems to be calling me, but I am too scared to even touch the thing now… I just heard it whisper my name…

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS GAME! HOPE YOU EXPAND THIS ONE DAY!

Every now and then I run into a game that I consider to be a pure gem of a game. This is one of them. Although not relying on all the usual tricks to make a game 'scary' this gem is like a slow boiling dish. Gradually the player feels deeper and deeper immersed in this play. Wonderfully done!

I didn’t run into any bugs, hiccups or other snags. Kudos to all involved and thanks for making this awesome game.

Thanks for the kind words!

Short and sweet but super creepy! Very unique. Amazing game!
